Susan Sajadi
Professional Experience
Susan M. Sajadi joined Burke PLLC, in June 2009. She focuses on general commercial and complex civil litigation.
Previously an associate at Sidley Austin LLC in New York, she worked in the general litigation practice and capital markets groups representing major financial institutions, hedge funds and pharmaceutical companies. While at Sidley, she also participated extensively in pro bono projects and won asylum cases on behalf of an Afghan woman and a Haitian refugee.
Prior to her legal career, Susan worked at The Wall Street Journal and The Oxford Business Group, both in Istanbul, Turkey. She is fluent in Farsi.
Education
Susan received a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2005, where she was a member of the Articles Review Board of the Virginia Journal of International Law. She earned her B.S. degree in Foreign Service cum laude from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 2000 and conducted thesis work, for which she received honors, on universal human rights standards in Africa.
